In many industrial applications, particularly where variable frequency drives (VFDs) are used, stray shaft currents can pose a serious threat. Over time, this leads to increased vibration, noise, and ultimately, failure of the bearing and motor.

Insulated bearings solve this problem by interrupting the path of electrical flow.
